Project Overview
I worked closely with SSundee's Community Manager Califo to improve the overall community experience. Our focus was on slightly redesigning the onboarding process and updating the community rules to ensure they were clear, concise, welcoming, and better aligned with the community's goals.
Key Contributions
Onboarding Redesign: Collaborated with Califo to revamp the onboarding flow, making it more user-friendly, engaging, and simple for newcomers. The aim was to help new members understand the community guidelines more quickly.
Rules Overhaul: Worked with the team to update and clarify the community rules, making them more simple and accessible to all users. The change helped set clearer expectations for behavior for the users.
Community Moderation: Contributed to the ongoing moderation efforts, ensuring that the community remained a safe space for all members by actioning bad-faith actors.
Results
These efforts led to a smoother onboarding experience for new members, helping them integrate into the community more easily. The updated rules created a more structured environment with less "legalities" by simplifying complex terms and concepts into easy-to-grasp rules, which contributed to a decrease in bad-faith actors.
