With a community-focused mindset, the goal was to revamp the onboarding, revitalizing Yes Theory Fam's user experinece and boost engagement.
Challenge
The community lacked clear structure, with inconsistent guidelines and a confusing onboarding process, which resulted in lower retention rates. New users found it difficult to engage meaningfully, and the flow of communication in chat rooms was frequently interrupted by harmful content or off-topic conversations.
Results
By creating a streamlined, user-friendly onboarding experience and revamping community rules and guidelines with a user-centered focus, new user retention significantly improved. Communication became more fluid and positive in chat rooms, while moderator support and guidance led to a more cohesive and engaged community. These efforts contributed to an increase in both user satisfaction and community activity.
